Hopefully a few people who had a chance to play the game at BlizzCon will be able to share their game experience. The demo had a playable Demon Hunter to join the Monk, Barb and Wizard from last year. We had an updated demo for Diablo Immortal playable on the show floor that was played by thousands of people. As a company, we didn’t want to risk any confusion regarding features, storylines, etc between D4 and Immortal.
I am personally super happy for all my friends on the D4 team who worked so long towards this day. Quite simply, we want to make sure we give Diablo 4 the space for a clear announcement. Much of Westmarch is either rubble, or in flames. Before this, the only time we’ve seen Westmarch is at the beginning of Reaper of Souls and at that point, the city is under assault by Malthael’s forces. Matthew: Westmarch is the perfect choice for a capital city for Diablo Immortal. And the much the same way that World of Warcraft has Orgrimmar and Stormwind, we have Westmarch. Wyatt: Alright we’ve talked about the shared public zones, the Instance Dungeons, but what we really need to bring a game to life is a capital city.
